Recently a UWA engineering student, Alex Garces, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). There is no known cause or cure for MS. This Sunday, August 30th, he is hoping to raise $10,000 for the MS Society of WA by running the City to Surf. You can read more about his endeavour in the attached PDF.
The University Engineers' Club and the UWA IEEE Student Branch is supporting Alex in his fundraising effort by running a fundraising BBQ on the UWA campus this Friday. Prices for the BBQ are:
All profits from the BBQ will be donated to the MS Society of WA. Therefore, by attending the BBQ you will not only be supporting people with multiple sclerosis, their families and their carers, but you'll also get a bargain priced lunch.
