2009 General Elections - Closing Soon!

Do you want to be more involved in the UEC in 2008, or does one of your friends?  Then read on...

To nominate for a position you must fill out a nomination form and put it in the Nominations Box in the engineering common room by 5pm, Friday, 10th October. Nomination forms can be obtained from the engineering common room, or can be downloaded below.  If you have any queries regarding a role please refer to the attachment, UEC constitution or the person who has held that role in 2008.  For queries regarding nominating, voting or other aspects of the election process, please refer to the UEC constitution or use the online contact form.

To be eligible to nominate, vote or propose a constitutional change you must be an ordinary member of the UEC.  Membership is free so make sure you signup before the AGM.  Click here to signup.  If you are unsure whether you are a member, please signup anyway, as the system will tell you if you have already signed up.  Signups received after the AGM shall be ineligible to vote.

Executive

  • President
  • Vice-President Education
  • Vice-President Social
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

Committee

  • Mechanical and Materials Representative
  • Civil Representative
  • Environmental Representative
  • Electrical Representative
  • Computer Science and Computer and Mathematical Science Representative
  • Final Year Representative
  • Penultimate Year Representative
  • Second Year Representative
  • Female Sports Representative
  • Male Sports Representative
  • Two Publicity Officers (THEBSEs)

All nominees will be given the opportunity to speak about their nomination during the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 14th October at 1pm in ELT1. The AGM is followed by a FREE BBQ and RAFFLE. All nominees and UEC members wishing to vote are encouraged to attend the AGM. Polling will being the following day, Wednesday 15th October.
