Every year the UEC takes part in this event, selling a satirical paper across the Perth Metropolitan Region for charity. Before the day, we spend many nights and weekends building a float to take as part of the PROSH-ession through the CBD. For many years we have dominated this event, and aim to do so again! If you would like to come down and help us build the Ninja/Samurai 2008 float this year email webmaster@uec.org.au or civil@uec.org.au. Either way, come on down to the common room on PROSH morning dressed up like a Ninja/Samurai!
Before the day, a team of dedicated writers get together (every Tuesday is Writers Night) to produce the PROSH paper. PROSH is short for ‘procession’ – when UWA students take to the streets in droves selling copies of the paper to unsuspecting victims. All proceeds raised going to the chosen beneficiaries. Help us celebrate and raise money for charity! See www.prosh.guild.uwa.edu.au for more information.
Some thank you's after the big day...
The UEC would like to give a huge shout out to all the people to helped: build the float, start stunt at 4am, sell papers dressed as Ninjas/Samurai/Geishas, write the paper etc etc. After a sleepless couple of days PROSH finally came and went! We hope everyone had a great day selling and made a lot of money.
Congrats to Max Daube and Matthew Schubert for organising a great PROSH for UEC. Of note is our win for best stunt (getting PROSH on the news and in the paper is fantastic) and our honourable mention for the Dojo Float.
