Next up on the sporting calender is cricket for the guys and softball for the girls.
The cricket is in a knockout format, with each team bowling a maximum of 10 overs. We will be taking on ecoms and be looking for revenge for the defeat in the soccer. Win or lose, we will still have another game against the winner/loser of the Law v Arts game. These matches will be played at the UWA Sports Park which is situated off campus, so if you are interested in playing please meet me infront of the common room at 12.30pm so we can organise how we will get there. The final will be played the following week, March 26th on James oval.
For the girls, softball will be played on James Oval, starting from 1pm. Games will be 20 minutes long or 2 innings each, an innings will last until either there is 3 outs or 9 batters have been through. The games will be against Science, SSEH (Human Movement) and Ecoms. The semi finals and grand final will be played the following week the 26th of March on Riley Oval.
If you would like to play, no sign up is required, just come down on the day in your yellow ready to play.
The girls had a great result in the softball qualifying for the finals the next week after beating Science and Ecoms and losing to Law and Human Movement. However the guys forfeited their game against Ecoms in the cricket after being unable to field a team.
